Gateway wins Under 17 Basketball championship Gateway emerged champions of the Under 17 Boys' Inter-International Basketball Championship by beating Asian International by a score of 85-76. In a relatively closely contested final, Dhanushka Gunasekara received the Most Valuable Player award and Ricardo Fernando was judged the Best Offensive Player.
During the final round, Gateway beat Stafford International by a score of 75-33 in the Quarter final and reached the final in style by beating Lyceum International by a score of 76-42 in the Semi final. Under 17 Boys' Basketball Champion Team
